The Opportunity An inspiring and highly creative Teacher of Art & Design is sought for a dynamic school in Barking & Dagenham. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone passionate about visual arts to nurture talent, encourage creative expression, and develop critical appreciation in young people, fostering their unique artistic voices.

The Role You will teach Art & Design across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and potentially Key Stage 5 (A-Level), across various media including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art. Responsibilities include designing and delivering practical and theoretical lessons that explore various artistic techniques, styles, and art history. You'll foster creativity, critical analysis of artwork, and prepare students thoroughly for both practical and written examinations. A significant contribution to school exhibitions, art clubs, and extracurricular art trips (e.g., to London galleries) is expected and highly encouraged, enriching the cultural life of the school.
