Behaviour Mentors (Primary and Secondary) Location: Schools across Derbyshire Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Temp-to-Perm Contracts) Start Date: Immediate / September 2026 About the Role Are you an experienced, resilient, and compassionate mentor, youth worker, or support professional looking to make a transformative impact on the lives of children and young people? We are seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors for both primary and secondary schools across Derbyshire. In this role, you will work closely with students who need targeted pastoral guidance, helping them navigate emotional challenges, manage complex or challenging behaviours, and re-engage with their learning. Whether you are seeking full-time or part-time work, these flexible temp-to-perm contracts offer a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term position within a supportive school community. Core Responsibilities and Duties Targeted Mentoring: Deliver structured one-to-one or small-group mentoring sessions to support students at risk of exclusion or experiencing barriers to learning. Behaviour Management and Boundaries: Establish fair, firm, and consistent boundaries that foster mutual respect and encourage positive choices. De-escalation and Crisis Support: Utilize advanced de-escalation, conflict-resolution, and positive behaviour management techniques to maintain a safe and calm learning environment.
