Rail Infrastructure Engineer

A UK wide, multi-disciplinary consultancy''s Rail Team in Glasgow is looking for a Rail Infrastructure Engineer to join the team of 12 and take an active role in the detailed design, assessment and inspection of a fantastic range of projects.As a Rail Infrastructure Engineer you will be involved in the following projects to name a few:Retaining WallsNew Bridge DesignCulvertsCoastal DefenceAccess for All Station BridgesViaductsMarina ExpansionsPlatform ExtensionsCanopy DesignYou will be given full support towards Chartership, there are 4 engineering sponsors in just a team of 12 for you to get support from in order to achieve Chartership with the ICE. This is also where you''ll find promotions, with Chartership comes promotion and a clear route to Partner.Rail Infrastructure Engineer ResponsibilitiesPrepare calculations and documentation for engineering projects.Liaise with other members of the design team to achieve a co-ordinated design.Undertake analysis and design using a range of software packages including finite element analysis such as LUSAS or Midas.Develop design and co-ordination skills to progress as an Engineer.Undertake client relationship management.Input to fee proposals and bidding opportunities.Rail Infrastructure Engineer RequirementsChartered or approaching Chartered status through ICE or IStructE.Relevant experience of civil and structural engineering problem-solving and development of sound engineering solutions.Good report writing, communication and ..... full job details .....
