The Role We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing accountancy practice in Dudley and become an integral part of our busy tax team. Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential. We are specifically looking for someone who understands the practice environment, is confident managing clients and teams, and can provide technical advice and support to managers and partners across the firm. The role will involve managing a portfolio of approximately 200 clients, overseeing compliance, supporting and developing the tax team, and providing corporate and mixed tax advisory support, particularly on the corporate side. You will report to the Tax Partner and work closely with managers, supervisors and junior members of the team to ensure client work is completed accurately, efficiently and within deadlines. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of approximately 200 clients. Prepare and review tax returns, computations and advisory work. Provide corporate tax and mixed tax advice to clients, managers and partners. Act as a technical point of contact for corporate tax queries across the firm. Support partners and managers with client compliance and reporting. Manage, train and develop junior members of the tax team. Support the allocation of work across the department and monitor progress against deadlines. Liaise directly with clients, managing relationships and chasing outstanding information.
