Job overview An opportunity has arisen for dynamic and motivated Band 5 Public Health Staff Nurse''s to work within the newly integrated 0-19 Children''s and Young People Public Health Service based in the North Rural Locality. This area covers Chipping Norton, Woodstock , North Banbury and surrounding villages. The new service brings together Health Visiting, School Health Nursing, and the Family Nurse Partnership, delivering the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) to provide an innovative and high-quality service that helps children, young people and families to thrive. Health Visitors, Community Public Health Nurses (previously known as community staff nurses) and Community Public Health Associates (previously known as community nursery nurses) will now be working with children up to 8 years of age where there are known concerns or vulnerabilities and will provide health related episodes of care to support with areas such as behaviour, diet, and sleep. There has also been an introduction of a new four-year health and development review to support school transition and address any school readiness concerns. The role offers the opportunity to engage in workstreams within the service to support professional and leadership development. The role has the opportunity to deliver community-based health promotion activities as well as supporting Oxfordshire''s Young Parents Pathway alongside Specialist Practitioners.
