Support Worker
Job Description: Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to a elderly service user in their family home in Newbury. The role involves supporting the service user with dementia, Parkinson''s and Urethral catheter care. Due to the nature of the role, which includes providing personal and intimate care, this position is open to female applicants only. This is in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, relating to genuine occupational requirements. Previous experience in senior care, dementia or Alzheimer''s care, hospice support, or will be advantageous. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people''s lives through personalised care and support. You would be working on chosen days of your choice from 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday, and working with another care who is a live in carer. It is a wonderful friendly home to work in and you will also be paid weekly. Duties Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, or other cognitive impairments Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Manage behaviour effectively through compassionate behaviour management techniques Offer emotional support and companionship to clients of all ages Assist with light housekeeping tasks ..... full job details .....
