OverviewThe Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented. They prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies. They intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner. They maintain an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.

Responsibilities

Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented and communicate their features and benefits to consumers.

Proactively intercept, engage, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.

Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances (microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, knives).

Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station.

Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.

Set up and prepare the Event Table for execution; achieve 100% execution on assigned work.

Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.

Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.

Complete expense reports in accordance with Company Policy.

Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as Event execution.

Access the internet and navigate company electronic systems; use Microsoft Outlook and view documents in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF formats.

This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week; however, the company maintains discretion to change the role based on business and client needs.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills: Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device and internal systems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.

Physical Demands: Stand and walk for the shift; use hands to handle or feel; reach with arms; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop; kneel; squat; climb or step up ladders; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasional up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart; prepare foods using appliances; handle cleaning supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.

Physical Appearance: Maintain a neat, professional appearance in line with retailer dress code.

Language Skills: English; bilingual skills may be required based on business needs.
