Salary £125,000 - £150,000 plus bonus of up to 60%.We are seeking a Finance Director to join a successful, high growth company as a Statutory Board member. The role fosters a high performance culture and a commitment to training, development and retention of staff with a strong collaborative ethos. This role is designed for progression, with a clear pathway to CFO as the business prepares for a likely transaction in 2027/28. You will have dual reporting lines into the business (COO) and the PE firm, gaining experience in investor Pitches and potential investor interviews. Prior experience of a sale/transaction process is not necessary given the COO’s experience; this role suits an ambitious commercial FD in agile, high-paced environments with a focus on commercial finance.You will mentor team members and work with them on day-to-day detail while also driving financial strategy, partnering with the CEO and Exec Team to achieve growth targets. You will work with internal and external senior stakeholders and possess strong presentation skills with gravitas.Responsibilities

Lead and develop the small, high-performing finance team (direct reports: FC, FBP and FM) fostering a culture of best practice with a proactive, hands-on approach to continuous improvement.Drive commercial value by analyzing data, spotting trends, and providing reporting insights to inform commercial decisions; translate insights to a non-finance audience.Act as Strategic Board Partner by providing critical financial insights to the Board, challenging where necessary to shape strategy and sustainable growth.Qualifications

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a proven track record as a commercial Finance Director or similar senior commercial finance role.Experience across a range of organisation sizes in agile, fast-paced environments.Extensive senior stakeholder and board experience is essential.Strong leadership and team management skills.Proactive, commercial mindset with a passion for adding tangible value.Ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.Seniority level
