IT Services client is hiring for a 3rd Line Systems Support Engineer with strong Solaris expertise. This is a permanent role based full-time on site in Basingstoke. Salary is between 50K - 55K + Bonus + Benefits. You will be responsible for incident management, problem resolution, and continuous service improvement, working to strict SLAs and security protocols. Responsibilities include: Managing and resolving 3rd line incidents, ensuring SLA adherence. Delivering system training for new staff and contractors. Investigating complex problems and escalating when required. Performing regular backups of live and reference platforms. Implementing ad-hoc requests and driving continuous service improvements.Skills and Experience: Advanced knowledge of Solaris 10, UNIX / HP-UX, and Oracle 8-10g. Strong understanding of networking principles such as DNS and DHCP. Experience with PowerShell, Perl scripting, and VMWare v5/5.5.
