Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical

Salary: -42,000+ | -3,000 call-out allowance | Days | Permanent

We''re looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a growing FMCG/food manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically focused engineer who enjoys hands-on maintenance, fault-finding and keeping production equipment running efficiently.

With a minimum 70/30 mechanical bias, you''ll play a key role within a team of six engineers, with excellent opportunities for training, development and progression into more senior positions.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you''ll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of a range of production and site equipment, including:

• Conveyors and associated systems
• Generators
• Gearboxes
• Sprockets, chains and belts
• Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
• Welding and fabrication - highly desirable
• Preventative and reactive maintenance
• Supporting the smooth running of production equipment

We''re looking for someone with:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience
• A minimum 70/30 mechanical/electrical skillset
• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar production environment
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with conveyors, gearboxes, belts, chains and sprockets
• Welding and fabrication skills would be an advantage
• A proactive approach and strong commitment to engineering standards
