About the role and school

Teach Plus are currently recruiting for a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive setting in Acton, starting ASAP. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them develop their confidence, independence and learning.

The setting is a well-established children''s centre in Acton, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for young children and their families. The centre has a strong community focus and a supportive staff team who work closely together to ensure children receive the individual care, learning and SEN support they need. Staff are encouraged to create engaging learning opportunities through play while providing a safe, stimulating and positive environment.

The successful Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant will be confident supporting children with a range of SEN and additional needs, both individually and within small groups. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, proactive and experienced Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant looking to join a supportive setting where they can make a genuine difference to children''s development.

Job Responsibilities

• Support children with SEN and additional needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Deliver engaging activities that support children''s learning, communication and development
• Adapt activities and resources to meet individual children''s needs and abilities
• Encourage children''s independence, confidence, social interaction and emotional development
• Work closely with teachers, Early Years practitioners, SENCOs and other professionals to provide consistent support
• Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment for all children

Qualifications/Experience

• Level 3 Childcare qualification
• Experience as a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
• Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
• Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
• Right to work in the UK
