Principal Data/GIS Consultant – BirminghamWe are searching for an experienced Principal Data/GIS Consultant at our Birmingham - Newhall Street facility. RPS is a leading global multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in built and natural environments.Responsibilities
Grow, manage and support the ecology GIS team to ensure support for the wider ecology team in delivery of master planning inputs, ecological appraisals, ornithological surveys and studies, other protected species surveys, mitigation design and construction and post-construction supervision and monitoring.Work with the Director of Ecology to lead digital innovations and transformation across the division.Deliver a wide and varied workload for private and public-sector clients across the UK, including infrastructure and renewable energy projects.Build long-lasting client relationships, generate and manage new business, and have responsibility for financial planning and management.Project manage, supervise internal staff, and provide technical oversight and sign-off on project output.Your Skills and Experience
Experience leading a team of GIS consultants within an ecological consultancy.Experience leading digital innovations within the GIS team and across the wider ecology team.Ability to drive digital transformation beyond data capture and GIS products, enabling the wider ecology team to leverage digital data capture to improve internal processes and data communication between ESRI and Microsoft products (including but not limited to Microsoft Flow, PowerApps, Azure and the Dataverse).Focus on improving speed of delivery, efficiency in tracking progress, reporting, resource and programme management, and client-facing solutions.What We Offer
