Teaching Assistant 1-1
September Start - Looking to recruit a compassionate and dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 3 student that has Global Development Delay and Epilepsy at a Hornchurch School. The student has limited communication, uses the Now and Next board and working at a low level academically. The successful candidate will provide structured learning, build confidence, and develop the students independence throughout the school day. Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm (Term time only) Teaching Assistant Responsibilities and Qualification: Deliver structured learning activities using a Now and Next approach and Bucket Time. Support the students communication, engagement, and social development. Adapt learning tasks to meet the students individual needs and abilities. Ensure the students safety and wellbeing at all times, including following any epilepsy care plans. Experience and an understanding of Global Development Delay, communication difficulties and Learning Needs. Patient, nurturing, and resilient with a child-centred approach. Teaching Assistant L2 / L3, SEND, Psychology or Care qualification We offer: A full face-to-face interview to ascertain your skills, experience and understand the right role for you.
