Overview
Environmental Health Practitioner x2 (Health and Safety) – Barnet Council. We are looking for candidates who are registered Environmental Health Practitioners (EHP) with experience delivering food and health and safety enforcement. Your main responsibility will be delivering the full range of health and safety enforcement functions including inspections, investigations and taking enforcement action. We are at an exciting point in this journey following a recent reorganisation to bolster Environmental Health service delivery. There is a new structure in place – all focused on rebalancing Environmental Health and delivering statutory functions using a risk-based and proportionate approach. Progress has been made but there is still a long and challenging journey ahead of us. That is why we are looking for extraordinary colleagues to join our team for what will undoubtedly be one of the most rewarding challenges of their careers.Job title : Environmental Health Practitioner x2 (Health and Safety)ResponsibilitiesDeliver the full range of health and safety enforcement functions including inspections, investigations and enforcing action as an EHPInclude elements of food law enforcement work (inspections)About YouYou will need to demonstrate:A qualification as listed in the Food Law Code of Practice to deliver the full range of official food controlsExperience in carrying out health and safety inspectionsExperience in taking enforcement actionProven front line experience in delivering official food controls within a local authority settingPractical experience in food and health and safety complaint investigationsWhat We Offer
