SEND Teaching Assistant

Role Responsibilities:Provide dedicated academic support to students aged 16-19 in a specialist secondary school for learners with special educational needs.Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver differentiated lessons that are accessible and meaningful for all students.Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to complex learning difficulties.Assist pupils with preparing for adulthood, including support with life skills, employability, and functional literacy and numeracy.Use visual aids, structured routines, and communication systems (e.g., PECS, Makaton) to enhance engagement and independence.Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where learners can build confidence and self-esteem.Requirements:Prior experience in care, support work or similarFamiliarity with SEND needs and supportAbility to motivate and engage pupils through personalised strategies.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong resilience and adaptability in handling challenging behaviours.Apply now to be considered!Application Requirements:All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy.Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explainedYou must have legal right to work in the UKYou must be willing to ..... full job details .....
