Senior Project Engineer 

Are you an experienced engineer with a background in production line design, modification, and upgrades? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering team delivering innovative packaging and manufacturing solutions to a wide range of clients.

The Role 
As a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for the design and delivery of packaging and production line systems from concept through to installation and handover. You’ll be involved in identifying process improvements, leading system upgrades, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

This role offers real variety — from creating practical engineering solutions and selecting the right equipment, to managing installations on-site and supporting system performance trials. You’ll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and suppliers, making a tangible impact on production efficiency and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Project Engineer:

• Designing and delivering packaging and production line systems, modifications, and upgrades.

• Supporting clients in identifying process improvements and shaping capital investment projects.

• Preparing specifications, layouts, and detailed engineering outputs.

• Selecting and managing suppliers, including equipment procurement and evaluation.

• Overseeing installation, commissioning, and system integration on-site.

• Supporting performance trials and ensuring acceptance criteria are achieved.

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards.
  
  

About You as the Senior Project Engineer:

• Strong experience in system design and project delivery within packaging or production environments.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Project.

• Skilled in line analysis, process optimisation, and continuous improvement techniques.

• Degree-qualified or working towards Chartered Engineer status (desirable).

• Flexible to travel and spend time on client sites both in the UK and internationally.
