The Role As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs both in and out of the classroom Build positive and trusting relationships with children Help pupils regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies Work closely with class teachers, SEND staff and parents Encourage engagement, attendance and positive behaviour for learning Provide 1:1 and small group support where required We''re Looking For Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs or additional support needs A calm, patient and resilient approach Strong communication and behaviour management skills The ability to build positive relationships and act as a positive role model Experience in education, care, youth work, support work or similar settings is desirable What''s on Offer?
