We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Accounts Assistant to join a well-known not-for-profit organisation based near Maidenhead on a 6-month FTC (You must be immediately available). This role is fully office-based.This role is vital to the day-to-day operation of the Finance team, managing a broad range of financial transactions, supporting reporting processes, and upholding internal controls.Responsibilities include:Managing financial transactions, including raising and issuing invoices, monitoring aged debtors, and pursuing overdue balances.Processing supplier invoices with accurate coding and authorisation, maintaining supplier records, and coordinating timely payments.Performing daily/monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts, and managing petty cash, credit card, and Amazon transaction reconciliations.Supporting income reconciliation for various streams and handling cash receipts.Assisting with month-end close preparations, maintaining the fixed asset register, and posting depreciation entries.Liaising with suppliers and internal/external stakeholders to resolve queries, and assisting with annual external audit queries.Upholding compliance with financial policies, controls, and procedures.Qualities and Experience:Demonstrable experience in a similar finance or accounts role.Sound understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial processes.Extensive experience of sales and purchase ledger management and bank account reconciliation.Proficiency in ..... full job details .....
