As a SEN Teacher, you''ll deliver adapted learning based lessons, working closely with support staff and external professionals to meet each student''s unique needs.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Assess students'' abilities and monitor progress, adapting strategies to support development
• Create Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and set achievable learning targets
• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support pupils
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and safe classroom environment
• Use a variety of teaching methods, including sensory and practical activities, to engage learners
• Communicate regularly with parents/carers about student progress and wellbeing
• Support pupils'' social, emotional, and behavioural development alongside academic learning

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• A relevant degree (e.g. Education, Psychology, or a subject specialism)
• Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Strong understanding of different learning difficulties (e.g. autism, ADHD, dyslexia)
• Knowledge of SEN legislation and frameworks (such as the SEND Code of Practice in the UK)
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Experience collaborating with parents, support staff, and external professionals (e.g. speech and language therapists)
