Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £40,000

Shift: Monday to Friday (Days)

Location: Derby based but you will be required to travel across the East Midlands to the companies retail shops

About the Role

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This full-time, field-based role involves maintaining and repairing equipment across multiple retail sites throughout the East Midlands, with occasional support required at our central production facility. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our equipment runs safely and efficiently, supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to emergency repair needs.

• Maintain and repair a variety of equipment, including ovens, fridges, lighting, and plumbing systems.

• Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations.

• Collaborate with store teams and external contractors to resolve technical issues promptly.

• Maintain accurate service records and manage tools and materials effectively.

• Provide excellent internal customer service and support.

Essential:

• Proven hands-on experience in maintenance and repairs.

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Flexible with working hours, including occasional out-of-hours work.

• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Desirable:

• Experience with PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), panel wiring, and steam systems.

• Background in food production environments.

• City & Guilds or NVQ/BTEC in Electrical Maintenance or Installation.

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2022) certified.
