Seeking an exceptional Project Director to lead a major cut & carve redevelopment project in Central London.

This is a flagship scheme involving complex structural alterations, partial demolition and the transformation of an existing commercial building into a high-specification modern workspace. The role will suit a proven leader with extensive experience delivering technically challenging refurbishment and structural projects in constrained city environments.

About the Project Director role

Reporting to the Construction Director, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from pre-construction through to completion.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure the scheme is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standard.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Director role

• Lead the delivery of major structural cut & carve scheme
• Provide strategic leadership to the project delivery team
• Manage client relationships and act as the primary senior contact
• Oversee programme, commercial performance, and risk management
• Coordinate design & structural engineering
• Ensure strict compliance with health & safety and building regulations
• Drive construction methodology for complex structural works
• Manage stakeholders including consultants, subcontractors and local authorities
• Ensure successful project handover and client satisfaction

Requirements for the Project Director

• Proven experience delivering large-scale cut & carve or structural refurbishment projects
• Strong background within a Tier 1 or leading main contractor
• Demonstrated experience as Project Director on a project over -100million
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
• Deep understanding of temporary works, structural alterations and urban logistics
• Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
