WA Consultants is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join our client on an initial 6-month contract. This hybrid role requires attendance in Taunton 1-2 days per week.Role OverviewYou will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and ongoing support of SaaS-based collaboration and development tools. The role combines technical expertise with service management best practice, ensuring reliable and efficient application performance across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and configure SaaS platforms such as GitHub, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), Lucid, and MuralProvide application support, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolutionManage incidents and service requests in alignment with ITIL principles and established service management processesAct as a technical escalation point for complex queries and issuesSupport and mentor junior team members, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous developmentContribute to service improvement initiatives and operational best practicesKey Skills andamp; ExperienceHands-on experience administering and configuring SaaS-based DevOps tooling (eg, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Lucid, Mural)Strong background in application support within a structured IT service environmentSolid understanding of ITIL principles and service management best practicesExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsExperience mentoring or supporting junior team membersFor further information, please ..... full job details .....
