Service Coordinator (Temp to Perm)

Location: St Albans (AL4 0JY)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Salary: £30,000 per annum

We are seeking a proactive Service Coordinator to oversee daily service delivery and support transport operations. This is a temp-to-perm role, offering an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position within a fast-paced environment.

• Coordinate daily service delivery and allocate work to vehicles/routes
• Communicate with customers, stakeholders, and drivers
• Conduct driver debriefs and provide operational support
• Resolve on-route issues and support frontline teams
• Promote and enforce safe working practices
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations (WTD, Operator Licence)

Essential:

• Knowledge of transport compliance and Working Time Directive (WTD)
• Strong communication skills across all levels
• Ability to manage a busy and fast-paced workload
• Competent IT skills and ability to learn new systems

Desirable:

• Experience in waste, transport, or logistics sectors
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO)
