The Barrow Cadbury Trust is an independent charitable foundation aiming to create a just and peaceful society that recognises the equal value of all people. We work with partners to drive structural change for social justice and equality. We are seeking a Director of Programmes and Learning to join the Executive Team and lead programmes and learning across the Trust, with a focus on strategic thinking and ensuring long-term impact.As Director of Programmes and Learning, you will guide and support our programme team to design and deliver ambitious programmes that build power in communities and drive systemic change. You will oversee grant-making processes to ensure they remain robust and transparent. A crucial part of the role will be to gather, share and use learning and evaluation from across programmes to influence wider change. You will work closely with the Chief Executive and Board, manage and develop staff and contractors, and externally represent the Trust in meetings and events to foster partnerships and new opportunities for collaboration and investment.You will be a senior leader with experience of programme leadership, grant-making and advocacy. You will be able to work across diverse teams and sectors, balance strategy with delivery, and amplify the voices of those most affected by inequality. Above all, you will be motivated by the Trust’s mission to create a more just and peaceful society in which everyone’s value is recognised.Responsibilities
