Most students have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Role: Learning Support Assistant Specific Duties Include: Working as directed by teachers and senior staff. Understanding how a pupil s learning is affected by their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development, and comprehending child development stages. Utilizing ICT effectively for classroom and management support. Providing support and encouragement to children and young people. Motivating pupils and promoting self-esteem. Assisting in the marking of pupils work and recording progress accurately. Encouraging children to value their experiences and knowledge.
