Location: Frogmore Complex, SW18 1EY (Hybrid Working - 2 days per week in the office)
Rate: -20.76 PAYE / -27.07 Umbrella
Contract: 3 months (possibility of extension)
Hours: Mon-Fri, 36 hours
Start Date: September 2026
DBS Requirement: Basic DBS
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-focused Asset and Compliance Data Support Officer to join a busy Housing Management team within a leading London local authority.
Reporting to the Asset and Compliance Data Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the council''s asset management and compliance programmes. The post will focus on data collection, analysis, reporting, and maintaining high-quality asset and compliance information to support strategic decision-making and service improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with large datasets within housing, local government, or a similar regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration and delivery of the residential stock condition survey programme.
- Allocate survey work to contractors and external surveyors and coordinate access arrangements with residents.
- Analyse and monitor housing asset data to identify compliance issues, HHSRS hazards, and non-decent home components.
- Produce performance reports and exception reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Maintain and update databases, records, filing systems, and asset information.
- Assist with statutory returns, housing activity reports, and performance monitoring.
- Support asset management projects, housing improvement initiatives, and transformation programmes.
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors, residents, and external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
About You
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
Essential Knowledge & Experience
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality management.
- Experience analysing complex datasets to support decision-making and organisational development.
- Strong understanding of data security and GDPR principles.
- Experience of maintaining accurate records and performance data.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within local government, social housing, or a similar public sector environment.
- Understanding of housing compliance, asset management, Decent Homes standards, or housing regulations.
- Awareness of housing policy and local authority service delivery.
Skills Required
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Experience using reporting and data analysis tools, with Power BI highly desirable.
- Ability to analyse information and present findings to a variety of audiences.
- Strong customer service and resident liaison skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
