Finance Assistant Central Hertford 32,000 - 35,000 Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (1 hour lunch)Our client are seeking a Finance Assistant to join it''s team in Hertford. This is a varied role offering exposure across finance, payroll, VAT and administration. Alongside full training, you will be offered long term opportunities for career development, plus a modern office in a great location.You will be responsible for:Managing new customer accounts, pro-forma invoices and project invoicing.Handling customer account queries and supporting sales ledger activities.Assisting with quarterly and overseas VAT administration.Maintaining digital finance records and managing petty cash.Processing employee expenses, including credit card and mileage claims.Supporting the implementation of an expenses management system.Assisting with National Statistics returns and general finance administration.Setting up new starters and processing monthly payroll using Sage 50.Managing pension contributions, enrolments and employee queries.Maintaining accurate and confidential payroll and pension records.Candidate requirements:Ideally you will be working towards AAT, although full training is providedConfident using Sage 50 Accounts and Microsoft ExcelHighly organised with excellent attention to detailGood communication skills and able to manage a varied workloadComfortable working as part of a small, supportive teamBenefits:Private health insurance after qualifying periodAuto-enrolment pensionDeath in ..... full job details .....
