Senior Technical Lead / Design Project Manager - Building Regulations & Fire Remediation

Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to drive the delivery of complex fa-ade remediation and Building Regulations compliance projects across mid- and high-rise residential developments, including Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs).

This role sits at the forefront of technical delivery, acting as the key interface between design, compliance, and client teams, ensuring projects are delivered in line with the Building Safety Act and current regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities of this Senior Technical Lead role:

• Lead the technical coordination of multi-disciplinary design teams across remediation schemes
• Oversee fa-ade remediation strategies, including cladding replacement, cavity barrier installation, and fire stopping solutions
• Ensure full compliance with UK Building Regulations, with particular emphasis on Part B (Fire Safety)
• Manage design programmes, deliverables, and technical submissions through Gateway processes where applicable
• Act as the primary technical interface with clients, contractors, fire engineers, and regulatory bodies
• Review and sign off design outputs, ensuring technical robustness and buildability
• Provide leadership and mentorship to internal design and technical teams

Requirements for this Senior Technical Lead role:

• Extensive knowledge of UK Building Regulations (Part B essential)
• Proven experience in fa-ade remediation, fire safety, or Building Safety Act-related projects
• Strong background in design coordination and technical delivery
• Experience working on complex residential or high-rise schemes
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage client relationships at a senior level
