Our Northampton services span 150+ acres of woodland greenery across 5 divisions: Medium Secure, Low Secure and Specialist Rehabilitation, Learning Disability and Autism, Neuropsychiatry and CAMHS. We operate unique national services including Deaf Forensic Service, Huntington’s Service, Secure Brain Injury Service, Older Adults, and others.The Role

Working within our Medium Secure Service, you will be the Responsible Clinician in our specialist medium service. This is a male medium secure ward that will provide care and treatment for working age males with mental illnesses. The ward is new and forms part of an established medium secure male service. You will work closely with other male wards and clinical teams to maximise pathways between wards/services and meet patients’ needs as they progress through treatment and recovery.You will lead a multidisciplinary team and oversee the management of patients with often complex needs. You will promote innovation and service improvement, with scope to develop specialist interests and grow your remit. We actively encourage you to be a leader nationally in mental health and to influence the future direction of services.We are looking for an autonomous individual who can make decisions to improve patient care and outcomes and who wishes to lead a team with a shared passion for transforming care.You will have the autonomy to influence care, with non-clinical activities available (e.g., research, teaching, governance and management) and the support of an MDT, Clinical Administrators and Personal Assistants dedicated to your wards and service.Responsibilities
