FTC Accounts Assistant

Job Title: Accounts AssistantLocation: Letchworth, Herts Contract: Fixed Term (12 months, with potential to become permanent)Salary: £25,(Apply online only) £30,(Apply online only) per annum + Monthly BonusOur client, a well-established and nationally recognised retailer in the mobility-related furniture industry, is currently experiencing sustained growth. To support this growth, they are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.This position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, initially to cover maternity leave, with the potential for a permanent position based on performance and continued business expansion.Key Responsibilities: Daily processing of all bank transactions Managing customer accounts and overseeing the payment plan facility Handling all purchase ledger activities Running monthly payroll using the Sage payroll system Reconciling bank, purchase ledger, and sales ledger accounts each month Compiling weekly performance indicators Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts Liaising with suppliers, placing orders, and resolving queries Managing and processing supplier paymentsAbout You: Ideally part-qualified ACMA / AAT, although relevant experience will also be considered Previous experience in a fast-paced SME environment Solid understanding of finance processes across purchase, sales, and general ledger Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently ..... full job details .....
