Housekeeper/Cleaner - SEND School - South West London

Timeplan Education are pleased to be working with a specialist SEND school in South West London who are looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper/Cleaner to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a part-time position, working either 3:30pm - 7:30pm or 4:00pm - 8:00pm, offering an excellent opportunity for someone looking for consistent afternoon and evening hours within a school environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for pupils and staff. Duties will include cleaning classrooms, offices, communal areas, toilets and other school facilities, as well as vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting, emptying bins and ensuring all areas are kept to a high standard.

The school is looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail and understands the importance of maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience would be beneficial, ideally within a school or similar setting, although a positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness

• A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude

• An understanding of health and safety and hygiene procedures

• A professional and considerate approach when working within a SEND school

• References available from current and previous employers

• An Enhanced DBS check, registered on the Update Service, or be willing to complete one

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
