Internal Sales Representative

Location: South East England
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday (rota: 7:30am-5:00pm or 8:00am-5:30pm)
A well-established and highly respected business within the construction materials and civil engineering sector is seeking an Internal Sales Representative to join its growing commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales growth across both new and existing accounts.

The Internal Sales Representative will be responsible for developing customer relationships, generating new business, and supporting the day-to-day commercial operation.
Key responsibilities include:

• Making outbound calls to new and existing customers.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Managing customer enquiries and providing outstanding service.
• Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, stock availability, and lead times.
• Processing cash sales and third-party invoicing.
• Allocating materials and stock.
• Supporting delivery and haulage coordination.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least one year''s experience in a sales role.
• A genuine passion for sales and business development.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Good commercial awareness and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• The ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• The right to work in the UK.

Experience within the aggregates, concrete, or construction materials sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
