Come join us.The OpportunityWe’re looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our UK-based team, focusing on the UK North region. This role will be home-office based with regular travel across the territory to engage with customers, attend meetings, and represent Gallagher at industry events.In this position, you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution – building strong relationships with enterprise-level clients, identifying new opportunities, and delivering innovative security solutions that set Gallagher apart. You’ll work closely with channel and solution managers to design and implement strategies that meet sales targets while creating sustainable, long-term value for customers.What you’ll be doing:Developing and executing growth strategies for the UK North region to achieve sales goals and profitabilityIdentifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities across targeted verticals and geographiesBuilding and maintaining relationships with enterprise end users, influencers, channel and technology partnersPreparing and delivering compelling sales presentations, responding to RFI/RFQ opportunities, and shaping system designs with our technical expertsMonitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform tactical and strategic decisionsSupporting contract renewals, pricing agreements, and service level agreements to ensure client satisfaction and profitabilityActing as a trusted advisor to key accounts, helping shape their security strategies

The FitWe’re looking for someone who is as comfortable in the boardroom as they are out in the field – a confident communicator, strategic thinker, and natural relationship builder. You’ll have the drive to pursue new opportunities, the resilience to overcome challenges, and the vision to identify where Gallagher can create unique value.What you’ll bring:Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management (security, IT, or technology sectors preferred)Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and close complex dealsExperience working with enterprise-level clients and managing long sales cyclesExcellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsStrategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term wins and long-term growthFamiliarity with tender processes, RFI/RFQ responses, and solution-based sellingAbility to work independently from a home office and travel extensively across the UK North region
