Sales Administrator

Gillingham

Permanent full-time role

Monday to Friday 8:30am – 17.00 (early finish on Friday's 3pm)

Pearson Whiffin are pleased to be representing a well-known, reputable manufacturing business who have been established for over 100 years! Our client is looking for a Sales Administrator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, the ability to work autonomously, excellent attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Duties include:

• Provide administrative support to the sales team, ensuring the smooth handling of customer orders and internal processes.
• Process and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate with customers—mainly via email—regarding order updates, delivery schedules, and issue resolution.
• Handle delivery-related queries, working closely with couriers and customers to resolve issues and provide accurate ETAs.
• Support the Export team to coordinate international shipments.
• Monitor stock levels and liaise with the packing team to ensure product availability.
• Upload purchase orders and generate invoices using the internal system.
• Maintain accurate customer records and ensure up-to-date information across databases.

To be considered for this role, you must have/be:

• Previous experience in a similar administrative or sales support role.
• Strong IT skills, with confidence using Excel.
• Meticulous with a good attention to detail.
• A proactive and highly organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal teams and external clients.
• A collaborative mindset with the confidence to work independently when needed.
