JB425: HGV FitterLocation: Milton KeynesSalary: £44,460 Per AnnumOverview:First Military Recruitment are looking for an experienced, commercial vehicle repair and maintenance HGV technician to join one of our renowned clients based in Milton Keynes.This is a family owned and run company with very low turnover of staff. They operate a large fleet of construction vehicles, including tippers, skip trucks, grab trucks, and low loaders.The successful applicant will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair to keep the fleet to DVSA standards.You will be based out of our clients large 6 bay workshop in Milton Keynes, and will be working Monday to Friday, 7:30am- 5pm.Duties and Responsibilities for the HGV Fitter: Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of HGVs in line with manufacturer specificationsDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on vehicles and trailersPerform MOT preparations, safety inspections, and roadworthiness checksComplete defect reports and job cards accurately and timelyReplace or repair faulty parts using hand tools and specialist equipmentConduct diagnostic testing using electronic diagnostic tools and softwareEnsure all work complies with current health and safety and DVSA regulationsLiaise with parts departments and suppliers for ordering componentsKeep up-to-date with industry regulations and technical developmentsMaintain a clean and organised working environmentParticipate in call-out ..... full job details .....
