To deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for babies (3 months to 1 year olds)To manage the day to day running of your room and the Baby roomTo ensure that your room is a safe environment for children, staff and othersTo develop partnerships with parents/guardians to increase involvement in their child’s developmentTo manage your team and work closely with other roomsTo ensure responsibility for the effective daily running of your roomTo have a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures and expectationsTo act as an excellent role model to the staff team being able to showcase high quality practice in all areasTo take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety and security practice within the nurseryTo work co-cooperatively with the managers, deputy and other room leadersTo support and lead your room team in planning and providing appropriate daily activities in line with guidance from the EYFSTo uphold the highest level of safeguarding practice and ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all timesTo manage and supervise observation, assessment and planning in your room, ensuring all children are making progress.To work with outside professionals where requiredTo work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all familiesQualifications (Essential)

Minimum level 3 in early years or equivalentExperience in working with toddlersKnowledge of the Early Years SectorGood standard of English and MathsRelevant experience and skills (Essential)

2 years or more experience of working in a nurseryExperience of being a key personExcellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted frameworkPersonal style and behaviour

Excellent verbal communication skills with staff, children and parentsAble to use written English to write reports and keep clear and accurate recordsBasic administrative and IT skillsEffective leadership skillsAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to work under pressureAble to work on own initiativeCalm and caring natureEmpathy and understanding of children under 5ReliableFlexibleOther useful skills (Desirable)
