Warehouse/Stores Operative - Required Skills & Experience

Location: Reading

Rates: -13 - -14.57ph

Working hours: Early and Late Shifts Available (6am - 2.30pm Monday to Friday) and (2.30pm - 11pm Monday to Friday)

Duration: Long -term, could lead to permanent roles

Please see the required background below:

• Previous job picking experience in a warehouse/stores environment
• Goods-in experience, including checking, counting, and booking in incoming deliveries
• Ability to accurately count and handle stock, including boxes and loose items
• Physically capable of moving and handling boxes/pallets, as the role involves manual handling and picking tasks
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word
• Good communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise with other departments when required (via email or face-to-face)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable, proactive, and able to manage tasks efficiently
• Forklift truck (FLT) licence or experience (Reach Truck and Counterbalance). If no FLT experience, must be willing and open to training
• Positive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn new tasks
