Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant Immediate start until July 2026 £82 - £102 per day ''Outstanding'' secondary school, Ward of Ladywood Ideal for someone starting a career in educational or clinical psychologyThe Role:You will support pupils across KS3 and KS4, with a focus on inclusion, wellbeing, and access to learning. Your day will sit between classroom support and targeted intervention, helping students who struggle with attention, regulation, anxiety, motivation, or social communication stay on track in lessons. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and the SENCO, following clear support plans and agreed strategies so pupils get consistent input across the week. You will run 1:1 and small group sessions to build routines, organisation, self-management, and confidence, plus support learning tasks in class through chunking, scaffolding, and simple check-ins. You will use calm, predictable approaches, spot early signs of dysregulation, and support de-escalation before behaviours become barriers. You will keep brief, professional notes on what you see and what helps, then feedback to staff so strategies improve over time.
