OverviewWe are seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Informatics Team in a full-time, permanent Band 8a role. The successful candidate will be based at the Royal London Hospital and will play a key role in the Trust-wide optimisation of clinical systems, ensuring efficiency and excellence in patient care.

The postholder will assist the Lead Pharmacist, Informatics with the development and optimisation of electronic prescribing within the Trust, in conjunction with the Head of IT Projects and the EPR team. They will assist with the implementation of any new digital medicines'' initiatives and support the pharmacy team in developing, validating and maintaining the wider pharmacy digital systems operated by the department.

They will ensure patient safety, security of access, system availability and that data accuracy is delivered by the system(s) and meets the requirements of the Trust, its patients and clinical staff. The postholder will assist the Lead Pharmacist, Informatics with the development and optimisation of electronic prescribing within the Trust, in conjunction with the Head of IT Projects and the EPR team. As a member of the pharmacy digital team, they will provide assurance of the use of electronic medicines management systems across the Trust, working with the Trust''s Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) and Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO).

They will ensure patient safety, security of access, system availability and that data accuracy is delivered by the system(s) and meets the requirements of the Trust, its patients and clinical staff.

The job description is not intended to be exhaustive, and it is likely that duties may be altered from time to time in the light of changing circumstances and after consultation with the post-holder.

The post holder might be required to work across the Trust at any time throughout the duration of his/her contract, which may entail travel and working at different hospital.
