About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated Category Manager to join my clients Procurement team. This role is responsible for developing and delivering sourcing strategies across multiple categories in a fast-paced environment.You will play a key role in strengthening supply chain performance by reducing risk, improving supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiency.Job Title: Category ManagerLocation: Oxford, Hybrid Set upSalary: 60,000 - 65,000Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement category sourcing strategiesManage procurement activity including RFQs, RFIs, supplier negotiations, and contractsMonitor market trends, pricing, and supply conditionsBuild and manage supplier relationships, ensuring performance across cost, quality, delivery, and riskIdentify and evaluate new suppliers and opportunitiesAssess total cost of ownership and support cost reduction initiativesLead supplier performance reviews and improvement plansEnsure supplier compliance with relevant policies and requirementsWork closely with internal stakeholders to support business needsAbout YouExperience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain rolesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsCommercially aware with good negotiation and analytical abilitiesOrganised, proactive, and able to manage multiple prioritiesProblem-solving mindset with attention to detailExperience in manufacturing or technical supply chains is beneficial but not ..... full job details .....
