In this role you will work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team (including Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Support Workers) using the neurobehavioural model. The focus is to provide person centred rehabilitation that is evidence based. This is a unique community based inpatient setting led by a consultant neuropsychologist, with a psychological approach. The service users may have a range of complex and challenging needs including cognitive, behavioural, physical and emotional difficulties following brain injury.Main duties of the jobYou will have scope to work with service users in a holistic way to address all aspects of recovery and to regain maximal independence including participation in social, leisure and vocational activities. There is access to specialist training, supervision (through the Clinical Lead OT) and development opportunities and you will be encouraged to get involved in service development and research within the trust. In this role you will work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team (including Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Support Workers) using the neurobehavioural model. To liaise with internal and external professionals, family members and service users.To work within a specialist clinical area as an autonomous professional with highly developed skills and knowledge potentially as the sole clinician but with supervision (which may be remote) of a more senior OT.
