The team at Park House work together to develop person-centred, evidence based rehabilitation care plans that aim to maximise the individual''s independence and recovery. The service is all wheelchair accessible and includes a wheelchair accessible lift, training kitchen and garden.We have a strong focus on therapy, care and quality of life. We offer specialist post acute rehabilitation, as well as management of long term neurological conditions. We''re committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy and empowered - enabling them to live the best life possible.What you''ll be working:We can be flexible but you will work a total of 30 hours per week. Monday to Friday - days and times can be agreedWhat you''ll be doing:The post holder will provide a specialist neurorehabilitation service to clients with acquired brain injury within a multidisciplinary team. This includes providing information and advice to other professionals and carers. The post holder will be expected to participate in the development and monitoring of services in conjunction with the team. This may involve assisting in induction and supervision of unqualified staff, and education of OT and work experience students, when appropriate.Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary team colleaguesKeep up to date with new treatment methods and be actively involved in research projects relating to specialist areaProvide support and guidance for junior staff and advice with complex cases where necessary assisting in the treatment of such casesEvaluate effectiveness of service and carry out audits where requiredBe responsible for department training and contribute to training and development of all staffEnsure risk management and safety procedures are in place for the OT Department and adhered toProvide highly specialist OT intervention for complex caseload in your specialist areaDevelop and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues, visitors and carersWhat you''ll have:A relevant degree in Occupational TherapyRegistered with the HCPCAt least 3 years post graduate experienceExperience within a Neuro rehabilitation setting would be an advantageWe also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
