Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Manager Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - Initial office-based onboarding, transitioning to a flexible blend of home and office working) Hours: Part-time (15-16 hours / 2 days per week - Flexible working pattern) Salary: £15.38 - £17.95 per hour / £12,000 - £14,000 actual annual salary (Based on £30,000 - £35,000 FTE) About the Role We are looking for an experienced, autonomous Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Manager to take full ownership of our finance function as a dedicated, standalone one-person department. This is a key role managing our end-to-end day-to-day accounts-from transactional ledgers and credit control to monthly management accounts, VAT, PAYE oversight, and year-end audit support. We offer excellent flexibility around working hours and a hybrid working model once you are settled in the role. Key Responsibilities Weekly Duties: Full management of Purchase, Sales, and Nominal Ledgers. Entering supplier invoices and raising customer sales invoices. Weekly bank reconciliations (recording all payments and receipts). Preparing and raising weekly supplier payment runs. Credit control: monitoring aged debtors and actively chasing outstanding balances. Monthly and Quarterly Duties: Reconciling our Invoice Factoring account. Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns (MTD compliant). Liaising with our external payroll bureau, posting monthly payroll journals, and ensuring timely HMRC payments for PAYE/NI.
