Relief Sous Chef West Coast of Scotland

The role:Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with our exciting rapidly growing Restaurant and Bars client for their new, across their well-positioned venues across the West Coast of Scotland recruiting for a Relief Sous Chefs to help support their all-year-round exciting Kitchen operations. You will be helping to support pre-opening of new sites, as well as supporting existing venues with diverse food implementation of menus, the coaching and mentoring of teams, in this fast-growing successful award-winning business in tandem with the Area Operational Relief Chef for the West.The person:Our passionate, ambitious client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a real leader in the kitchen, someone who will support and harness the talent of the brigade. Utilise the fantastic kitchen facilities to their advantage, to provide memorable popular food experiences for its customers, and put the locations on the map in the West coast of Scotland.The ideal Relief Sous Chef candidate must have had prior experience of producing fresh quality food, to a minimum 1 rosette culinary level standard, and had experience of volume restaurants in the high street space. You will need to be highly approachable with your personality, as you will be interacting with other senior department heads, and regional area management and it would be advantageous if you have done relief work before, but it is more important to have great adaptive mindset and possess great people skills.As the Relief Sous Chef, you must be proven to be highly flexible, and adaptive in all your interpersonal skills approaches with the teams you will need to integrate with. Ideally you must possess the adaptive culinary skills to succeed with the delivery of varied food concepts developed by the Culinary Chef Director, Regional Head Chefs, and onsite chef leadership teams.The Relief Sous Chef must also be but someone that also is an effective manager of the kitchen environment, of Health and Safety legislation, Food Safety legislation, COSHH, RIDDOR and possess strong cost and budgetary control understanding.Our client requires an ideal Relief Sous Chef, that is also very able to train, coach and mentor the various site teams, help evolve food services, manage and deliver consistent seasonal menus and fresh food concepts.
