We provide tailored solutions to client challenges and development plans, including market studies, infrastructure and supply chain readiness, feasibility, due diligence, and bankability assessments, backed by strong technical design expertise for foundations, substations, floating and fixed offshore wind, and marine infrastructure development assets.Our multinational team operates on an agile basis to service clients globally. We invest in research and development and maintain collaborative relationships with industry organizations, providing thought leadership and stimulating career and learning opportunities for our staff.Role Description / Purpose of the role:Background:The Head of Department role will be part of the Offshore Group senior management team, overseeing 50 engineers and consultants. This role combines external client management, commercial management, and team, resource, and delivery responsibilities for the current ports team of 8. We aim to build on recent project successes in energy-related marine development projects, providing strategic advice to offshore developers and due diligence to financiers. The team also has a heritage of design and delivery clients, working closely with the Marine Advisory team for high-value services.Head of Department Ports and Supply ChainThis leadership role involves growing and expanding our Ports team within the multidisciplinary Offshore Design and Advisory Group. You will collaborate with our Advisory Consultancy team to offer clients advice, technical solutions, and designs for marine project infrastructure, including market studies, feasibility, due diligence, and detailed designs.Key responsibilities:Client management and work acquisition – lead client relationships focusing on offshore developers, financiers, port operators, supply chain, and tier 1 contractors.Team Delivery – ensure project delivery meets quality, schedule, and budget standards, acting as a senior consultant and project supporter.Leadership and People Management – oversee staff development, resourcing, utilization, and recruitment.Commercial – participate in sales, relationship management, and ensure projects are delivered profitably.Right to Work:Currently, we can only consider applicants authorized to work in the UK and Ireland without visa sponsorship.At Venterra:We are committed to inclusivity and equality, striving to create a welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities.
