The purpose of the role of Head of Learning and Growth is to define, lead, coordinate and achieve the successful delivery of the work undertaken by three diverse teams within the organisation, addressing service development and reporting, communications and awareness raising, and the monitoring and evaluation of the organisation’s impact in delivering its strategic aims. The Head of Learning and Growth also manages the organisation’s HR function.Essential criteria

A minimum of 3 years’ senior management experience in an organisation that delivers a programme of services to the public, either directly or through a series of external delivery agencies.A minimum of 3 years’ practical experience of working in partnership with key stakeholders, using research and other information to develop and implement strategic initiatives.A minimum of 2 years’ experience providing innovative leadership to achieve organisational objectives, and reporting, monitoring and evaluating delivery and outcomes in line with such objectives.Experience of developing and maintaining productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at senior levels, and with service users.A current UK Driving Licence with access to a car. This will be waived in the case of an applicant whose disability prohibits driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements.* Senior management level is defined as the level within an organisation at which strategic decisions are made.Desirable criteria

Experience of leading on internal and external communications initiatives – to raise awareness, inform the public, or highlight success.Experience in information management, including GDPR compliance.Experience in providing leadership and oversight of an HR function, and contributing to strategic workforce planning.The Victims and Survivors Service is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
