THE OPPORTUNITY:
Get Recruited are working with a reputable and growing business who are looking for a Product Owner to help shape and improve software products used by organisations across the public sector.
As Product Manager, you''ll take ownership of key areas of the platform and manage the product lifecycle from initial discovery through to delivery and continuous improvement. You''ll work closely with senior product leadership, developers and customer stakeholders to understand user challenges and turn complex processes into clear, practical product requirements. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting close to users, asking the right questions and making evidence-led decisions about what should be built and why.
THE ROLE:
- Own key areas of the product from discovery through to launch and ongoing improvement.
- Carry out user research to understand customer needs, challenges and existing processes.
- Manage and prioritise the product backlog alongside senior product leadership.
- Translate customer requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and product requirements.
- Work closely with development, design and QA throughout the delivery process.
- Use customer feedback and product data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to roadmap planning and communicate upcoming developments to internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with relevant regulatory and industry changes that could impact the product.
THE PERSON:
- Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst within a software environment.
- Ideally, experience within B2B SaaS, public sector technology or another regulated industry.
- Strong discovery and user research skills.
- Experience managing backlogs and writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional development teams in an agile environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- An analytical approach to prioritisation and product decisions.
- Experience using Jira or similar product delivery tools.
- Confident and up-to-date user of AI tools, with an understanding of how they can be applied effectively within a modern product environment.
