Head of Private Client - Kidderminster The Opportunity: A long-established and highly regarded legal firm with over 70 years of experience serving the Worcestershire community with a strong private client team is seeking to appoint a Head of Department to join and build its team. This role offers the opportunity to step into a role where the work is available, including estate administration, drafting wills, tax planning, creating and managing trusts and preparing lasting powers of attorney along with developing a team around you. The firm are also open to considering a team move of up to three Private Client Solicitors. Key Responsibilities: The successful Private Client Solicitor and Head of Department will provide expert advice and guidance in the following areas: Administration of estates (taxable and non-taxable)Drafting standard and complex wills, including those involving trusts (e.g., life interest and discretionary trusts)Advising on inheritance tax (IHT) and capital gains tax (CGT) implicationsPreparing and registering lasting powers of attorney (LPAs) and enduring powers of attorney (EPAs)Making deputyship applications to the Court of ProtectionDrafting deeds of variationEstablishing and administering trustsSupporting team members and contributing to a collaborative department cultureManaging client relationships and business development Role requirements: We are seeking an individual with the following skills and qualities: 8 years'' experience with the ..... full job details .....
