Design Manager - MOD & MOJ Projects

We are currently working with a Tier 1 contractor seeking experienced Design managers to join their growing construction team delivering high-profile MOD and MOJ projects across the Northwest

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Design Manager with experience in complex, secure, and technically demanding projects to play a key role from pre-construction through to project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating the design process from tender through to completion
• liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams
• Reviewing and managing design programmes and technical information
• Ensuring compliance with MOD/MOJ standards, regulations, and security requirements
• Identifying and resolving design issues proactively
• Supporting project delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Chairing design meetings and maintaining clear communication across all stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry
• Experience working on MOD/MOJ, Healthcare, Education, or other regulated projects preferred
• Strong technical and construction knowledge
• Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant Construction qualification preferred
