BAM Infrastructure are currently involved in a major energy project in the South West (Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater in Somerset), delivering reinforced concrete, bulk earthworks, infrastructure, and building on one of the UKs largest projects. We require a Senior Quantity Surveyor with building / MEP / Marine / Civil engineering experience.As Hinkley Point C is a nuclear licensed site, additional security checks will need to be made. BPSS level of security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the following:Reporting to Commercial ManagerLiaison with operations team and support servicesManaging a commercial team of varying levels across multiple schemesResponsibility for overseeing commercial project management on multiple schemes including ensuring timely provision of the following:monthly cost value reconciliations, cashflow monitoring, monthly and quarterly forecastsmonthly application for paymentchange managementManage / mentor members of commercial team as requiredTake part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategyWork with our clients and stakeholders to achieve optimum commercial solutionsEnsure compliance and adherence with project and company commercial procedures including for procurement and subcontract managementProvide commercial input into the Pre-Construction/Tender phase of projectsManage ECI/portfolio of ECI projects from a commercial perspective, including input into reviewing contract documentsWho are we looking for?

Necessary:Previous experience of managing a team (ideally across multiple projects)Previous experience on civil engineering schemesExperience of NEC form of ContractThorough understanding of contractual provisions with a view to be able to comment, review and draft documents.Relevant qualification Degree; HNC/DAdvantageous:Early Contractor Involvement experienceExperience of target cost contractsGood client facing collaborative attitudeGood communication skillsRelevant Professional qualification (CICES/RICS)What\''s in it for you?
